THRIVE SPACE YOGA SCHOOL
Expert Tuition in Traditional Yoga, for the Modern Age.
Develop a Complete & Personal Practice.
Thrive Space School of Yoga is for those who wish to learn the practices of traditional yoga.
‘Traditional Yoga’ is yoga practiced for its original purpose – to achieve the highest potential in external and internal health for the purpose of realising one’s own true nature.
In the modern age, yoga has largely been reduced to a form of exercise, or a workout. The word yoga is often used very loosely, and poorly understood…
Everyone is familiar with the yoga asanas, or physical postures, but without kriya (purificatory exercises), pranayama (yogic breathwork) and the antaranga (inner, meditative path), yoga is bound to remain a path of ego gratification.
We have online classes via Zoom and in-depth courses at the shala on Xiao LiuQiu Island in the beautiful south of Taiwan.
Thrive Space shares its home with Freedive Taiwan, Taiwan’s Dedicated Freediving Centre.
WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind (Yoga Sutras 1:2)
Yoga is a vast and ancient tradition. The word itself has many important meanings.
Yoga is a spiritual technology that aims for nothing short
of complete outer and inner transformation.
Understanding the true purpose of yoga practice
is key to progressing in your own practice…
